Reflection of a Beautiful Soul – A Modern English Sestina

.

I read Her words set down in each poem,

And see the reflection of a beautiful soul,

each line crafted with loving care

and brought forth into the World

for all of us to read and see and

know their creators Heart.

.

For it is with the whole of this great Heart

the poet pours herself into every poem,

baring her every emotion and

opening the doors on her soul.

And what of the World?

Does it see? Does it care?

.

I, for one, DO care.

For I look upon the workings of her Heart,

seeing her carrying the troubles of the World

on her shoulders in every poem,

weighing down upon this wearied soul,

I see it bruised, bowed and

.

yet remaining strong and

still capable of taking care

of each and every soul

that touches her Heart.

She isn’t just a Woman, She’s a Poem

walking through this World

.

and caressing the World

with a touch as ethereal as her thoughts and

light as the ink in each Poem

She writes. I want to care

for this Poetic Lady and her butterfly gentle Heart

and wrap my Spirit around her Soul,

.

so that Her Soul becomes My Soul,

the twain passing through the World,

Two Hearts beating as One Heart,

two Poets writing, creating and

crafting words and phrases with such care

so as to compose the perfect Love Poem.

.

If everyone could touch Her Soul and

the World would for one second care,

perhaps we’d all be inspired by this Heart in a  Poem.
