Lost – A Modern English Sestina

Lost  -  A Modern English Sestina

I am lost,

Inside the Castle of Persephone,

Doomed, or is it blessed, to search for

The treasure of her Crystal Tears, the

Words of passion in her Heart

That I wish belonged to me,

.

Does She search for Me?

Does She know that I Lost

My Heart

Inside the Castle of Persephone,

That I seek not just the

Riches within its walls, but for

.

a future, everlasting happiness for

Me

And Her, the

Two that are lost

Inside the Castle of Persephone,

Wandering at its Heart,

.

and so I follow my Heart

in my search for

The Goddess called Persephone,

And hope that when I find her she will welcome me

into her castle and I shall be not lost,

but found, the

.

King for whom the

Crystal tears will melt in Her heart,

I shall not be lost,

SHE will have found me and for

Eternity my Goddess and me

Shall dwell inside the Castle of Persephone

.

I shall worship the Goddess Persephone

And She shall be the

The reason for Me

She shall be the owner of my Heart

And for

The rest of time to the World I SHALL be lost

.

Sweet Goddess Persephone for who’s Heart

I am the Paladin, the King for Eternity

Open thy castle gates for Me, I am lost without You

.
